New additions coming to the Joan Jones Community Center: October 2025

Hello Neighbors,

The Pat Hurley Neighborhood Association has been notified by Greer Stafford/SCJF Architecture of their intent to submit an application to the City of Albuquerque for the building permit required to expand the Joan Jones Community Center. (JJCC) The JJCC was constructed in 2015 and phase two of the project will include the addition of fitness, multi-purpose, and mini-gym spaces totalling nearly 7,000 square feet. The site will also receive landscaping, walkway, patio, and playground updates.

Construction Update, September 2024:
Construction has been delayed and is expected to begin in October 2024, concluding in October 2025. The center will remain closed during construction.
